Market Supervisor

Position Summary

The role of the Market Supervisor is a management position which oversees various mobile food markets throughout the Bay Area.

This job includes administrative duties, equipment set-up/break-down, food vendor assistance, team management, brand representation and preserving Off the Grid Market's quality of standards. With laser focus on details and market strategy, the Market Supervisor must excel at leading an event. The ideal candidate loves being outside, engaging with diverse groups of people, effective at executing detailed instructions and capable of thinking on his/her feet.


Key Responsibilities

Main:

  • Customer Hospitality, Improving Market Experience & Safety
  • Following company policies, rules, standards and observing our code of conduct
  • Administrative (Market Reports, Checking Attendance & Incident Reporting)
  • Market Staff (Team Building, Operation Training & Assigning Market Tasks)
  • Vendor Support (Market Guidance, Financial Data Collection & Permit Inspections)
  • Maintenance Documentation (Fleet, Admin Technology & Production Equipment)

Fleet Vehicle Operations:

  • Following California driving rules
  • Implementing vehicle safety procedures and policies
  • Vehicle Preventative Maintenance Schedule

Set-up and teardown of market events which includes but is not limited to:

  • Production & Market Props (tents, windmasters, generators & etc.)
  • Road Closure Implementation (Barricades, a-frames, signage & traffic cones)
  • Trash & Recycle Management

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of management or relevant experience
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Proficient in Google App Suite and iOS web browser
  • Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Commercial truck driving experience is a plus , not necessary
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
